Joint Symbol-Level Precoding and Reconfigurable Pattern Design

Reconfigurable antennas add a new degree of freedom—the radiation pattern—that can be co-designed with the transmit precoder. This project exploits that synergy at the symbol level.
Contributions
- Formulated the joint design of symbol-level precoding and reconfigurable radiation pattern.
- Proposed an alternating-optimization scheme to design the precoder and the pattern jointly.
- Developed a low-complexity scheme for practical applications and discussed antenna-design issues.
